The file 'FuzNuz Hoof Angle Meter 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.3MB.
SCALING THE PART DOES NOT EFFECT ANGLES, SO BE SURE TO SCALE IT TO THE SIZE YOU WANT. LARGER SIZES PROVIDE GREATER ACCURACY.
Measures to the nearest degree, The notch on the top represents every 10 degrees and then the hole that lines up the best gives the digit past the last 10 marker notch. The hoof slope will be 90 degrees minus your measurement, so if you measure 41 degrees on the meter then the hoof slope will be 49 degrees.
To assemble you will need some glue or epoxy for the pin as well as some lubricating grease. Place bottom and top card together as shown in photo and verify they are aligned properly, apply grease along the long pin part and place the angle measurer onto the pin. Test that it rotates smoothly and easily, and if not clean pin and apply sandpaper to pin until smooth rotation is achieved. Reapply grease as needed. Clean excess lubricating grease and then apply a dot of glue into the depression in the end of the pin. Place cap onto the pin to finish assembly, making sure no excess glue contacts the angle measurer faces. Allow to cure before use.
