Summary

This is my entry for the Atomstack contest- the newest (and cutest) Atomstack laser cutter. It has many improvements over previous Atomstack engravers, such as only using 3d printed parts, being very cheap, being very small (portable), and energy efficient, easy to assemble, and more! All at the minimal cost of not working. But what's this? It does work! Albeit only being able to cut one design (the Atomstack logo, so you couldn't ask for much better than that.), and being fully manual, this fully 3d printed laser-free cutter works! It also looks cool, is fun to play with, includes a free bonus puzzle, and fits on the palm of your hand! The cuttable sheet/bonus puzzle can also be printed with a color swap to make it look more like a real laser cut piece.

You can also 3d print or laser cut your own designs if you want, the dimension of the sheet are 85.344 mm front to back by 89.611 mm side to side. The measurements are weird because of the way I designed it.

-To Use the Cutter
First, print and assemble it.
Then, print the sheet, flip it over and put the pieces in.
Next move the cutter head to the front and flip the whole thing over, tilt it so you can
put the sheet in above where the head is, in the guide rails, holding it with one finger while you level the cutter, then hold it in place while you flip the whole thing over. I would include pics but it his hard to take pictures of upside down.
After you have done that, the cutter is ready to go! Just move the bed back, optionally moving the head for maximum fun, and watch your hard work on the puzzle be transformed into something beautiful.

Another idea is that you could print the sheet really thin and tape a piece of paper to the bed, which might be easier to use.
