UPDATE 3/24/20: The design is now finalized. I modified some of the clearances to make things fit better and added a rib to the hub to make sure the lock disc can actually lock the wheel in place. I decided not to make a separate TPU tire version (will be doing that with a swivel caster design coming soon) so I modified the wheel to be stronger by making the ribs straight. I also changed the pin design.
DESCRIPTION:
This is a fully 3D-printable caster assembly.The wheel has an integrated print-in-place bearing. There's also a lock which works by screwing down the lock pin which tightens the disc lock against the wheel. There's a spring washer to apply pressure to the disc lock so that it doesn't spin inadvertently. The mounting holes on the hub bracket are designed for #10 wood/sheetrock screws since I'll be mounting this right to the side of a cabinet.
