The file 'Frustration-Free Cat Bowl 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.1MB.
EDIT- Added a lower profile version 2.0 with a little more of a lip to help prevent food from being pushed out of the bowl. The bottom is designed differently also to cut down print time a bit.
Every morning my cats enjoy following me though the house issuing blood thirsty meows all the while.
A clear sign they want food..
Even though I would put food in their bowels, they would inspect the food then continue their business of ordering me about in the cat language.
My first thought was that they didn't like the food, so I tried many types and combinations with the same uninterested results.
I finally asked my vet about their picky appetite.
She said they may be experiencing whisker frustration..
I.E, when they eat, their very sensitive whiskers may be rubbing on the edge of the bowl which over stimulates them to the point of distraction and frustration at the prospect of eating.
After some research on frustration free bowls, I thought I would give one a shot before I bought 2 $20 bowls.
So here it is, a shallow bowl that allows your cat to eat without their whiskers hitting the edges.
So far its working great! Their whiskers don't hit the edge of the bowl anymore.
As soon as I put the food down, the cats jump right on it and finish it in one sitting.
These will hold about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of dry food, I suggest smoothing out the surface to prevent any bacteria from being allowed to form in any voids that my be present from printing.
I wouldn't use this for wet food unless you can get it extremely smooth and wash it very well after each use.
