Front Mounting Antenna Holder for Axis Flying Manta 5" FPV Drone

Introduction

Hey FPV community! 🎮✈️

I've designed another iteration of the front mounting antenna holder for the Axis Flying Manta 5" FPV drone. Like many of you, I was tired of breaking my mounts and wasting filament on support structures. The other front antenna holders I tried were flimsy and broke easily. So, I took matters into my own hands and created a solution!

Features

  • Robust Design: This mount is very sturdy and can withstand serious bando bashing. No more worrying about breaking mounts!
  • Flexible Yet Durable: It’s designed to be soft enough to bend but not break, even after a hard crash on concrete.
  • Minimal Supports Needed: This design minimizes the need for supports during printing, saving you both time and filament.

Why I Made This

After countless broken mounts and wasted filament, I knew there had to be a better way. I wanted something that was tough enough to handle the rough and tumble of FPV flying but also practical for printing. This antenna holder is the result of those efforts, and I hope it makes your flying experience just a bit smoother.

Print Settings

  • Material: PLA, PETG, or any filament you prefer, but best in TPU
  • Infill: 20-35%
  • Supports: Minimal supports needed only for frame holes
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm or less for best results

Feedback

I’d love to hear your feedback and see how this mount works for you. If you have any suggestions or improvements, feel free to leave a comment!

Happy flying and unbroken crashes! 🚀
