Summary

Frame for 7.9inch IPS Screen

I've created this frame specifically for a 7.9-inch IPS screen, which I'm using as a DMD (Dot Matrix Display) for my Arcade Legends Pinball machine.

Modification Details:

I removed the board from the back of the screen and drilled a hole through the Backglass to pass the ribbon cable through.
The PCB board is securely mounted to the inside of the pinball cabinet.

Purpose of the Frame:

The LCD doesn't fit flush due to the ribbon connector on the back of the LCD panel. To address this, I designed the frame to inset the LCD, raising the panel forward to achieve a flush fit on the Backglass. The panel sits snugly in the frame with pressure fitting.

Instructions for Use:

Insert the LCD into the frame, ensuring the ribbon cable passes through the designated hole.
Apply pressure to fit the panel securely into the frame.
Mount the frame in your Arcade Legend Pinball machine for a seamless integration of the DMD.
