Intended to be used to strengthen the acrylic frame on which the Y-axis motor is mounted, so it doesn't bend.
This is a remix with screw holes added. I've also tried to simplify the model, so it would be easier to print.
Do note that it took 13 hours for me to print.
Black print is "Version 2 MotorAntiVib"
White print is "Version 1"
Version 1 (The white print)
My original modification, which is the one printed in white. I recommend you go with version 2 instead, as it's nicer with the extra wiring holes. :)
Version 2
v2 have extra wiring holes, and also moved one of the screw holes closer to the rest of the model. The side walls have also been increased a bit, to make space for the extra wiring holes.
Version 2 MotorAntiVib (The black print)
Is a modification of v2, with space for 6mm deep vibration dampener (Also known as stepper dampener).
I use these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shock-Absorber-Stepper-Vibration-Damper-For-Nema17-3D-Printer-DIY-Accessories-H5/282265613600
The floor and side-wall at the motor have also been lowered by 3mm, to make space for various dampening materials, that you can use to rest the motor on if you wish.
Note that the dampener is represented in the skethup picture as the part in orange.
