The file 'Fraction Stack 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 2.2MB.
The Fraction Stack provides opportunities for students to work with fractions. Each piece has braille on one side and indented print on the other, so it can be used by all students in the class. The height of the pieces change, relative to the height of the rods that represent one whole. There is an indented line at one half to aid with comparisons e.g. Are two sixths more or less than one half? For sets of pieces that add to a half, place a finger, nail side down, onto the top piece in a stack and the nail should just catch in the indent.
It can be used in place of a fraction wall.
The pieces for halves, thirds, quarters, fifths, sixths and eighths are included in the basic kit. Piece for sevenths, ninths, tenths, elevenths and twelfths can be added on request.
Print 6 rods to fit in the base.
Braille should be printed on a vertical face.
