Murphy's Law dictates your print will fail at 95% so why waste all that filament. I split the base into two pieces for easier printing with less waste in case of failure.
I also made a tool that allows for sanding the grooves and tongues of the various pieces. Just wrap a piece of sandpaper around it and slide it into the groove from the side. The fit of the original pieces was extremely tight so a good sanding improves the part movements and fit quite a bit.
