The file 'FR7 7 Inch Mid Range Racing Drone BN880 GPS, Dual SMA Antenna, And RDQ Mach 3 VTX Holder 3D Printer Model' is (SLDPRT,STEP,STL) file type, size is 627.4KB.
I wanted a part specific for my use case on my FR7 racing drone frame.
This part is designed for:
BN880 GPS/Compass from RMRC (should fit other BN880 GPS units too)
2 SMA antennas - 5.8 GHz analog video and 900Mhz CRSF control link
RDQ Mach 3 VTX
I have included a STL file, .STEP and .SLDPRT
I designed it so its easy to print flat, use tree supports on build plate only. There is a generous sized opening on the bottom to allow easier wire management.
The GPS module sits flat instead of at an angle because I didn't want to mess with compass angle offsets in Arducopter, and because it prints so much faster and with better quality when the whole bottom surface is flat.
I believe, if you use long antennas, the GPS and Compass is far enough from electrical noise to have problems.
When you install the SMA connectors you'll notice that the TPU around it is somewhat thick and it doesn't allow you too tighten antennas on all the way. Once you install the retention nuts and crank them down, the TPU will compress substantially, the SMA connectors will situate themselves securely and all will be well. See the photos for an example.
