Summary

Update Rev10: 10/16/2016
I made some corrections to the openscad file after Adam Bowers found a problem with it. I made more of the dimensions confined to the variables now.

I decided to make a couple of simple hacksaw cutting jigs for the 30mm length steel rods & for the carbon fiber rods. I measured 190.5mm for the length of the carbon rods I needed to get 240mm length arms. MAKE SURE you verify you are getting the correct length before cutting the carbon fiber as my 190.5mm length maybe different than yours. These jigs worked really well for me.

I screwed the jigs onto a 2x4 using #8 screws & put a short piece of 1x2 at the end for a stop & clamped it down for cutting. #6 screws would work better, but I did not have any of those on hand.

I included the openscad files so you can change the cut lengths to what you need. I printed these at 20%infill in PETG.
