Summary

This is a Remix of Another Persons Knock-Off E3D V6 Mount.
(I apologize, but I cannot find a link to the original.)
EDIT: This unit now comes as a kit, so it can be converted easily to E3D V6 Direct Drive!

It works on the Knock-Off 25mm Cooling Fin Diameter of the Folger Tech Version of the E3D-V6.
https://folgertech.com/collections/hot-ends/products/bowden-all-metal-hotend-for-abs-for-e3d-or-j-head-type-filament-extruder-1-75mm-1

It allows for x2 Part Fans, 30mm or 40mm, and a Stable 40mm Fan for the Cooling Fins.
I Included the Bowden mount I found here...

As I find it has useful tabs to Zip tie the Wire onto, with minimal additional plastic.

Printing with PLA, I swap out the Folger Tech E3D V6 Stainless Steel Heat Break, and use a PTFE lined heat break. As it all but prevents PLA Jamming.
https://folgertech.com/collections/hot-ends/products/threaded-m6-tube-with-ptfe-teflon-core-for-1-75mm-used-on-prusa-i3-kit

Remember PLA is a sugar, and sticks to hot surfaces like any sugar would.
Swapping out the SS heat break for PTFE will save you the pain of a hundred jams!

Just switch Back to the Stainless Heatbreak if you are using ABS or higher temp Materials.

Minimize the Need for Retraction. Only allow retraction after 2-3 mm of travel, and .4-1.4mm of extrusion, on a high retract speed, for best Bowden results.

Lower the Temp down as low as possible, to prevent too much stringing.
(190-208 Preferably, but I only tested on Folger Tech PLA.)
However, Bowden systems are very hard to remove the stringing from entirely.

Use the SHORTEST PTFE tube possible! Shorter is better.

Do not allow tube to bend greater than about 70 Degrees. It Creates additional tension that can harm quick retraction and also cause stringing.

I also included the Fan Guard for 40mm fans that I found here on Thingiverse, I just cannot remember where! (Sorry!)

My Extruder is the compact Bowden Extruder, Found here:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:275593
With a MK8 Drive gear and a 608 Bearing.

https://folgertech.com/collections/bearings/products/623zz-10pcs-3x10x4-3mmx10mmx4mm-623z-radial-ball-bearings-reprap

Keep it tight, and make sure it grips the filament in the MK8 teeth really good!
(Just don't flatten it!)

Hit me up with any Questions.

Happy Printing!
