Summary

After several crashes, I was out of replacement props so I decided to print my own!
The ones available on the internet were either badly designed or just wouldn't work for me, so I started remodelling my own, broken propeller.

And the result, after hours of finetuning and reshaping, is here!
In total 16 different versions have been made..

The plane this was designed for is the phoenix 2000 or phoenix evolution.

TIPS and RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • This is a high torque propeller! Be sure to use a low KV motor otherwise it might overheat. (Happened to me once - no fun)
  • Try to print the propeller upwards (standing), it will give the best results
  • I used PLA with a 4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, but ABS might even be better due to it's flexibility.
  • Props might need balancing after printing! Not checking this might cause serious deformation of the motor's shaft and eventually break down.

Hole size: +/- 3 mm
Hub size: +/- 8 mm

I have included the .blend file so you can edit it to suit your own needs.

Good luck!
