I needed to sew a whole bunch of folded hems for my DIY hammocks and other outdoor gear. Some materials are hard to iron and shouldn't be pinned. This folded hemmer attachment helps tremendously. When I first designed this I didn't have any presser foot that fit my old but trusty Singer 201K, and even now when I got a whole bunch of them I find the printed ones easier to use.
Hem width, length of guide channel, position of mounting holes etc. can be easily customized to fit just about any sewing machine. The default values fit my Singer 201K, 670G and I have also made one for my Husqvuarna Viking Emerald 116.
I found that having mounting holes is not a big deal since I usually tape the hemmer to the machine.
I experimented with a funnel like opening of the guide channel but found that it works quite well without.
I've successfully used this for several projects, but I'm sure there is potential for improvement.
Please post coordinates for holes for other models in the comments section if you make one.
