The file 'Foam Rocket Mould 3D Printer Model' is (skp, stl) file type, size is 614.1KB.
This is made to be a 2" rocket similar to a nerf vortex football. Primarily used in scenario games as a rocket launcher projectile. Print 2 of the mold, clamp together, and fill with foam. Insert a popsicle stick to add rigidity. The rocket positive is also provided.
Normally such rockets go for $10 each, and are easily destroyed after 10-20 uses. the aim of this is to bring that cost down to $1, or less.
I've tried this is AB foam, great stuff, and several other expanding spray foams, but I have not successfully molded a rocket yet. So far, I think the problem is that there is no oxygen inside the mold, and that ends up not allowing it to cure properly. Nerf footballs I do believe are made of polyurethane, in a high heat mold. There has got to be a way to do this at home, and i cant find the right formula to do it, so I am opening this project up to the good people of the internet to help figure this out!
