NOTE: If anyone has the dimensions of the Traaxas TRX 4 control wheel I will do another version.
When rock crawling or driving RC cars its really useful to be able to use all RC functions with just one hand; especially when going down long trails or trying to video at the same time.
This print fixes to the FlySky GT3C RC controller and allows you to steer a car or boat using your thumb whilst your index finger controls the throttle. There are even ridges on the steering arm to help with grip.
I have also included an indent in the centre of the steering arm as it can be rotated to allow steering using your middle finger. Whatever works best for you.
In practice, I have not found any issues with the steering arm being attached and steering using my other hand. Either way it slide on and off really easily.
The steering extension is clamped around the control wheel using a M4 hex bolt (15mm), two washers and a nut. Pretty straight forward.
I will also add another version shortly that doesn't require a bolt. It should work just as well but you wont be able to adjust the tightness.
