The file 'FlashForge Dreamer X Axis Carriage 3D Printer Model' is (blend, stl) file type, size is 177.6KB.
The FlashForge Dreamer X Axis Carriage is a replacement carriage for the carriage that ships with the FlashForge Dreamer. It does not currently contain the X axis belt clamp. You can use the original X axis belt clamp, or you can print the X axis belt clamp benird created that's found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:456853
PRINT THIS BEFORE YOU NEED IT!
The older model Dreamers that don't have the clear door and the cooling fans on the back unfortunately can sometimes get too hot when printing with the lid on causing the X axis carriage to melt slightly and deform. They were great printers except for that serious flaw. The newer printers with the clear door and cooling fans on the back should not have this problem.
My original X axis carriage MELTED when doing dual extrusion with the Dreamer. I was printing ABS at 230 C with the build platform at 105 C, and the dreamer's lid on. I got a free replacement carriage from FlashForge and then decided to design and print a backup just it case it too melted. And shortly thereafter it did melt. Until I added my own custom thermostat controlled cooling fan system, I had to print without the lid on to avoid melting the X axis carriage.
Anyway, print this BEFORE this happens to your printer. That way you have a back up just in case it happens to your printer.
I am currently using this X carriage for all my printing on my Dreamer. I have a few backups just in case. It's been working great for many months.
I designed this from scratch using Blender. I included the original Blender source file so you can easily tweak it using Blender.
