The file 'Fishing Lure Collection #1 3D Printer Model' is (stl, dwg) file type, size is 2.0MB.
Fishing has always been a passion of mine. This summer I decided to combine my two pass times into one creating a few fishing lures. I have had great success with these lures as the pictures will attest to. Hope you have the same luck.
I printed these at .15mm layer height with 10% infill in white PLA.
These are my first experiments with airbrushing, but it seems the fish don't care.
I have included a dwg file for the through wires in case you have inventor and can make use of them. I print them out on paper 1:1, glue it to a piece of 1/4" aluminum and at each bend, drill a 1/8" diameter hole. Then I put a 1/8" peg in them (I cut the heads and tip off a roofing nail). Then I made a little tool to help bend the wire around the peg for a perfect fitting through wire.
If there's enough interest (leave a comment), I can post how I made the tool. (There are some 3D printed parts to make it that I can make available too.) I included a bent up wire I made using this technique. (Note that the picture of the bent wire here is not for any of the lures included in this collection...it's just a photo of another wire I had sitting around.)
Hope you have as much fun making, painting and catching as I have.
