Summary

Update - I just wanted to upload a video also as our fish absolutely love this.

This model is ideal for fixing cumber to a weight so that it remains exactly where you want it in your tank.

It was created because in our aquarium we don't like to just drop in the cucumber and allow it to float as we have a lot of middle tank fish so it would go virtually untouched, I had seen several cucumber spikes and clips but again Visually I do not like the look of the cucumber stuck to the side or bottom of the aquarium as there is no visual appeal however this printed model with the following directions has the perfect amount of buoyancy so that the tanks current makes it bob and move about in the tank which increased the fish's interest in the cucumber tenfold.

The print time was 26 minutes.
I used PLA plastic.
My extruder temperature was 195.
My bed Temperature was 70.
My infill was 60% as I stated earlier I strongly suggest using this infill % as the buoyancy of the piece is ideal at that infill.

I also used a raft to avoid any contamination on to the part its self from the print bed as in the past I have used hairspray to help large prints to adhere to the bed.

Once the part had printed I drilled a hole in one of the stones in our aquarium with a 4 blade 6mm tile bit, I used a Todays tools branded bit https://www.todaystools.co.uk/img/products/DSP.jpg I am unsure if the branding is important all I can say is from experience this drill bit flew through the solid pebble I needed to drill. In honesty any thing that sinks will be ideal to anchor it.

I then attached the the hook to the pebble with a loop of cotton and I am very very impressed with the results.

All's I ask in return the model is if it works for you please leave a like and a comment that would be greatly appreciated and if you decide to upload a photo I look forward to seeing your aquariums!

Thanks for reading and happy printing!
