I loved the "Automatic Fish Feeder" by pefozzy (thing:2539750).
I used an old 40 x 20 servo that I had retrieved from an old rc-car. Pefozzys base for the big servo has no room left to mount the arduino nano. I could have glued it on top, but I wanted to add a button as well.
So I imported the stl into Freecad and drew this remixed design.
I add the original arm and tank as well - so that the thing is complete here.
If you want to use a servo of a different size, a bigger tank or the original sketch, than have a look at the source and the other remixes as well.
When using it you should mount the downside at least a few centimeters above the water level and well ventilated. Otherwise water will condense and the food may stick. Maybe later I will add a slip or equivalent and mount the feeder even higher (idea: thing:2798949)
The sketch runs a counter from startup and dispenses food every 24 hours. You can feed manually by pushing the button.
Changing „shots“ in the sketch will influence the amount of food dispensed.
UPDATE: Bug in *.ino - new sketch 20.10.2020
