I wanted to have an alarm attached to the printer. I keep https://www.amazon.com/Kidde-Battery-Operated-Ionization-sensor-Compact/dp/B00PC5SZLO/ on hand for when I'm working on boats, carry it along, and if something catches fire, I have a very loud alert that doesn't rely on me smelling smoke through my dust mask. It's battery operated and fits neatly into my fire sense bracket. It's another step towards a safer 3D printer.
