Universal Filter housing designed to connect to the 3M style twist lock connection.
Designed to hold 58mm round filter material.
Designed this to use on several of my newest mask concepts, but it should be compatible with most 3M brand dust or respirator masks.
A few pointers on DIY filter materials.
A cotton makeup pad can help prevent the spread of a viral infection but is not much better the a plain cloth face mask. While I can not provide any test results in comparison to a N95 mask. I have been using a layered setup. Outer layer I use a piece of 100% polyurethane fabric as a splatter shield, and a a piece of a HVAC air filter that is rated for bacterial and viral filtration. This is the most comfortable to breathe through for me, but you can also add a cotton makeup pad or half of one as a third layer.
