A filament holder that attaches to 2020 aluminum with zip ties. It requires no additional parts other than the zip ties. It fits standard sized filament rolls up to 88mm wide, 208mm overall diamater, and with at least a 30mm hole diameter.
I got tired of jams related to the side-mounted filament holder that came with the Prusa i3-based printer I've been using so I designed this. It's very sturdy, so much so that I'd remove even more material from the support if I ever revisited the design.
Also note that the example in the photos above was printed flipped.
