Made a remix for the reinforced filament splicer jig. It now comes with a living hinge and a guide bar. The hinge should be possible to print with a number of plastics including PLA and PETG. You can also use more flexible but higher temp plastics like Nylon (PA 12 / PA 6,6 / PA6) or PP. The circular design of the hinge reduces localized stress and destributes it even along the whole part of the hinge. The wavy cut-outs increase the surface area and further distribute forces evenly.
The guide bar has some toleance to it (.2 mm below and about .3 mm to either side) to make it easier to print in place. Make sure not to use support material in between the bar and the splicer body.
