Summary

Needed an award for our IT office (FII) so decided for an function key styled one: What else to call a team called FII than F2 or F11? In my case F11 was best suited so I made the 1s into Is so the key would spell FII.

The key is based on Cherry MX keys, scaled up. The text can be edited using Fusion 360 at the Sketches > Sketch Text > Edit Sketch.

Editions:
The base (Chrysalis) is unaltered
The key has the text embossed so it will float a bit: this makes it easy to break off in order to get them proper painted. The whole key is scaled up.

For painting I used Revell Email paint, but anything should be able to be work out, and glued on with Tamiya Extra Thin Cement. Revell modelling glue or thin liquid super glue (like Locktite's small triangular tubes) could work out too.

For connecting the head to the base I used contact glue (thick liquid) on the key cap stem to set it correctly in and then dabbed Tamiya Extra Thin Cement on the sorrounding contact points for extra stability and strenght.
