Summary

This is a fidget spinner I made using my print in place roller bearing design. The bearing is size 608 meaning its inner diameter is 8mm, outer diameter is 22mm, and width is 7mm. There are a lot of other roller bearing designs but most of them have issues with the pins falling over causing the whole thing to fall apart. Other designs are just too tight and don't spin very well. My design attempts to solve these issue by using an internal ring to hold the pins in place. Its also uses pins with convex and concave curves. These features can be seen in the photos.

Instructions

  • This design has very tight tolerances so depending on how you print it you may need to spend some time making sure each roller is spinning freely.
  • I recommend printing at 100% infill with a layer height around 0.16mm.
  • This is designed for a 0.4mm nozzle. A smaller nozzle may also work but a larger one probably will not.
  • The finger pads are threaded and can be screwed together with a flat head screwdriver.
