Here are some fun Christmas ornaments that look great and are fast and easy to print!
They may not look like it, but all 5 are based on my snowflake ornament. Each one started as an extrusion of the snowflake in a roughly spherical shape, hence the file names ("spherical snowflake" 1 - 5).
The cover photo shows designs 1 and 2. I designed 1 so it would look great printed in multiple colors as shown.
All 5 print well with thin walls (0.8mm) and no infill. If you print them with clear filament, they will catch the light beautifully. The thin walls and lack of infill also keep the weight down and make them quick prints.
I've printed one of these (#5) as small as 60% with great results. At that size, they're about the size of a store-bought mini Christmas ball. At 100%, they're about the size of the average store-bought ball. Printing above 100% should not be a problem. You might run into problems with the loop if you print these below 60%. If you'd like a larger ornament for th ebottom of the tree, print at 140%.
