Hi guys, newbie SLA printer here, and I've had failed prints, which stick to the FEP, and I figured, instead of scraping the fep to try and pop them off, I would come up with something that I could just roll the reservoir over, and pop them off for me.
I designed this for my Anycubic photon, although it may fit other SLA reservoir too.
So here it is, some assembly required, I bought a set of small paint rollers from the £1 store, because I needed the clean metal bar, and small rollers, and set to work.
You just need to cut the roller and bar to length, the paint roller I cut to roughly 80mm, and the bar I cut to 114mm.
As all $ store paint rollers are different, you will have to experiment which spacers you will need to make it work for you, I've included three different sizes so that it should fit snug and allow the reservoir to roll across it smoothly.
WARNING, although I created the holder to give you the ability to choose different high offsets (thus allowing different pressure) it is up to your own judgement as to how much pressure you want to allow across your FEP, I will not take responsibility for people pressing too hard, or using a tougher roller than the sponge one I chose, and damaging their FEP.
You will need to print two spacers, and either one or two roller inner parts.
Hopefully we all get great prints and never need to use this, but I'm realistic ;)
