Summary

F-14D Super Tomcat

A revision of the F-14, which has come to characterize carrier-based fighters, known as the "Super Tomcat". This large carrier-based fighter, developed to defend carrier battle groups, has enhanced avionics compared to the A and B models. It is capable of acting as a bomber with air-to-ground attack capabilities or as an air superiority fighter with it's automatic variable wings, allowing for it to dominate at combat at all speed ranges and altitudes.

Only individual parts are included in this set. (I'll make the kit card in the future, hopefully)
You'll need to print 2 tails for this set.

Hope you enjoy and I look forward to seeing your makes!

Addressing the big question: Did I just use a USB power adapter as a model stand?
Yes, yes I did.

Moving on....

This aircraft was actually the first kit card I made. Actually, it was my first kit card was a remix of toto_28's F-14 kit card (I highly recommend you go check their kit cards out, they're pretty cool: https://www.thingiverse.com/toto_28/designs)

I always loved the sweeping wings of the F-14 and I've wanted to have a miniature model of the F-14 with it's variable wings. The closest I got to that was the model created by agepbiz. (He actually updated the model recently! Check out his stuff at: https://www.thingiverse.com/agepbiz/designs) His model is awesome and it actually served as an inspiration for this kit card.

It was a difficult project but I finally got a working model! This kit card will allow you to print, build and own a F-14 with sweeping wings. I may make improvements in the future (like gears in the wings to make the sweeping synchronous similar to agepbiz's model) depending on how the reception of this project.

Once again, thank you so much for the support and I hope you enjoy this project! Also, please do check out my other work and the works of toto_28 and agepbiz! (Links above)

Till next time folks!

P.S To those who know where the paint scheme is from, you have my respect and kudos.
