Summary

BoardGameGeek user Gavin McGruddy made a fantastic insert for the Garphill Games board game Ezra and Nehemiah - find it here. His insert is designed for unsleeved cards, and fits in the box without any lid lift when used per his instructions.

This is a straight conversion of Gavin's dimension drawings into STLs for printing, including the optional aspects of the Development Tiles piece.

Edit 31 May '24:

  • Some users are reporting that the card tray isn't working for the cards they've received, so please stack and measure your cards before printing!
  • If your stack of large cards (of which there should be only 44 cards) is 13mm tall or less then your cards will fit in this design
  • If your stack of large cards is taller than 13mm, please consider the remix of this design for sleeved cards which accommodates thicker cards better
    End of edit.

A full set of printed parts for the insert consists of:

  • 4x Player Components
  • 2x Food and Money
    • Food tokens go in the smaller compartment, Coin tokens in the larger compartment; one can be placed at each end of the table so that all players have the tokens within easy reach
  • 2x Resources
  • 1x Prophets and White Workers
  • 1x Temple Insert
    • V1: as per Gavin's design
    • V2: identical to V1 except the cutout has 1mm extra width and length, and 0.5mm extra height
  • 1x Scroll Tiles
  • 1x Cards
  • 1x Development Tiles

18 May '24:

  • Added V2 of the Scroll Tiles part, which gives some more space for the gold tiles, and makes the entire part a little taller to allow for the Kickstarter promo tiles
  • Added V2 of the Temple Tile part, which gives an extra 1mm of clearance to the temple tile in the length and width as well as 0.5mm extra clearance in height.

21 May '24:

  • I've been made aware that I managed to accidentally delete a file, now resolved
  • Gavin pointed out that typical usage would see the food tiles split between the two trays, and the coins likewise, so that the tokens can be within reach of players. Gavin recommends using the larger compartment for the coins.

22 May '24:

  • Fixed a mistake with the Cards tray - please use V3
