Here is my take on an external bee feeder (with bottle holder).
It uses a plain plastic soda bottle (e.g. Coca Cola...) with a standard thread (which is officially called PCO1881 and is found on virtually all plastic/PET drink bottles from 250 mL to 2 L).
It can either be inserted through the front opening or through a 50 x 11 mm hole in the wall of the super (I am using it at the back of the hive - very easy changing without disturbing the bees).
The big advantage over internal feeders is that you won't need to open the hive and that (by squeezing the bottle a little) you can actually dose the amount of food the bees will be fed. On the other hand in my experience it does not work as well for continuous feeding as the internal feeders I use.
Hope your bees like it. Here is a collection of some of my Beekeeping Designs on Thingiverse.
It should be an easy print. No supports needed. PLA or ABS. Make sure you choose a color your bees like! ;-)
Enjoy!
