This project contains all FDM-printable models for EVN Alpha V1.4. Alpha is a RP2040-based robot controller with built in EV3/NXT Mindstorms motor ports, battery and charger, and LEGO Technic-compatible build holes.
All files are placed in the orientation they should be placed on the print bed in.
A tolerance tester .stl is provided to easily test multiple offset configurations at the same time, for both bottom and side holes. Numerical markings are given to mark the offsets used for the holes. (4 means -0.04, 24 means -0.24)
Small beam models are also provided as .f3d files are also provided for finer calibration.
All models have their Fusion files (without timeline) provided so that their geometry can be modified.
The top shell and battery cover should print without modifications, as their geometries have forgiving tolerances. However, the bottom shell may require modifications to the side and bottom holes.
Open the bottom shell .f3d file in Fusion, and go to Solid > Modify > Change Parameters. You'll see 2 user parameters provided for side and bottom holes tolerances (both set to -0.12). By double clicking their Expression values, you can make these holes bigger (e.g. -0.16) or smaller (e.g. -0.08) accordingly.
