This case holds an ESP8266 Node MCU development board and allows the case to be held by the 5v AC adaptor that powers the MCU.
With the micro usb connector.
You can drill holes and run wires of your choosing to temperature probes or split coil sensors or radar movement sensors. It's up to you.
I have used this basic case for many projects.
It is simple to print and modifiable for the project.
Almost any small screws can hold to lid on, I normally just use something out of my junk box. The design is for 2 x 12mm. The picture shows the range of screws that I have used in this box.
There is a version that hangs from a normal wall plug, I have called that Vertical and a version that hangs down from a wall plug that is installed horizontally.
The picture of the white one on the wall outside is a horizontal version, the A/C socket on the wall is horizontal.
The one in these pictures is vertical and has a plug for a split coil sensor and a wire out to a radar RCWL-0516 sensor and I drilled a hole in the lid so that the on-board LED can be seen to light up when the RCWL sensor picks up something.
I bought some shorty micro usb cables from amazon to make it neater.
Like my other cases, it hangs from the 5 volt power cube on the AC receptacle;
