Summary

An endstop designed to be used in pairs to enable Z-axis calibration if you have dual Z axes without linking drive belt.

Note: In order to use this design you MUST have ALL the following:

  1. Dual Z axes upgrade with 2 Z motors but WITHOUT a linking drive belt.
  2. The Dual z motors wired in parallel (same driver). If you have a board with separate drivers then you don't need this, the G34 command will work fine as it is!
  3. A control board that uses UART drive for the Trinamic Z-driver. None of the Creality boards do this. I am using an SKR Mini E3 V3 board.
  4. Marlin compiled with the G34 command enabled. I use a custom compiled version of MRisco's professional software. I have also enabled the low current z-axis 'hold' so that the z-drivers are always active (do not time out).
  5. Be happy with losing a little Z-height. I have set Z-max to 221 mm.

The 2 holes in each z-stop are designed to accept M3 x 20 (or longer) screws. Fit the z-stops with the screws loose and then tighten in place to lock the end-stops in place.

In use you periodically issue the G34 command from e.g. Octoprint to synchronise the Z-steppers for a perfectly level print.
