External motherboard case allows me to move all the electronics out of printer on order to close it with Enclosure and get an opportunity to print some filaments like a Nylon (PA), ABS, get a higher quality and strength on other filaments.
This case have mounting holes for 60mm fan, for voltage reducer if you are using Noktua Fan, for example.
Also. there are holes for the XT60 connectors if you'd like to keep your system modular.
I printed the bottom part without top and bottom faces with a honeycomb infill to keep it as a mesh for air cooling input and saving the filament.
Lockers are tight enough so don't be afraid of braking it, it works fine without them also
But if you have an opportunity to print it with nylon, for example, it can work.
I think it should be printed well without any supports in the cooling holes, but they can be really needed in the connector holes.
