The file 'Ender-3 V2 To Neo Adapter X Gantry Plate Mod 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 827.3KB.
This is to adapt the Creality Ender-3 Neo / Ender-3 V2 Neo fan shroud on to a compatible printer (Voxelab Aquila, Ender-3 V2).
I want to make it clear that while this is for the Neo type fan shroud, it might not be a direct swap without modification.
A normal 4010 fan may not fit, so I was able to source a 4007 (40x7mm) fan within the shroud and it fit perfectly.
The purpose is mostly aesthetic, but also I modified the Neo shroud to adapt a 2nd part cooling fan. That means cutting, grinding, drilling (using a DREMEL). Adding a 2nd cooling fan is optional, however the adapter was designed for this purpose.
The Neo shroud centers around the hotend, so you will have to drill or cut out space for the PTFE tube, and also since this is for a 2nd cooling fan, you will need to cut space for the hotend fan, otherwise this can be mounted externally.
It should be noted that the hotend heatsink will need to be extended about 5mm out, brass motherboard standoffs worked well for this, you can also use nuts or washers.
This adapter clips right onto the existing gantry plate. It's push clips.
The Neo shroud itself allows you to clip on the adapter with some adjustability to go up and down. (Has an optional slot to screw it on the adapter securely).
This is a work in progress, more to come!
