The file 'Ender 3 Pro V2 Compact SD Card Adapter Housing V4 3D Printer Model' is (pdf, stl) file type, size is 4.3MB.

Summary

Update: 02921 Uploaded a Plain Body part with a revised step detail to make the top bridging more reliable. The step detail is based on a 0.25mm layer height. Therefore for the best results print this part at 0.25mm or set your slicer to print the last 5mm at 0.25mm layer height.

Update:181020 Uploaded WIP bodies with a slotted lower fix if there is any variation with the print or Printer assembly. I stress these are work in progress I have not printed or tested. There may be some slight cleaning of the bridge to the slot post print.

Update: 121120 Uploaded larger Plain Body & Packer (XL Versions) which increases the body depth by 5mm to allow for longer ribbon cables. This is WIP I have not tested this version.

This is a revised version of my Compact SD Card Adapter for the Ender 3 Pro & V2

I am quite pleased with the evolution of this thing, the design is much better than the previous in many ways:

1.Single unibody design which is faster to print.

2.Hinged hatch makes ribbon cable tidying much easier and much less strain on the onboard card socket. USB connector access via hatch also.

3.Much more effective and simpler attaching to the printer using only one M3 x6 mm hex bolt.

4.Right hand side hole knock out for a right angled USB Cable.

5.SD Card storage slot.

6.Simple adapter retention.

7.Transverse rebate detail which allows a clean break for dual colour printing to aid further customisation.

Installation

1.I have included a brief Installation Guide within the published files but this thing basically hooks onto the edge of the front panel and fixes using the adjacent M3 board cover screw on the underside of the printer. This provides a very simple but very effective fix.

2.There is a small packerhook which holds the adapter in place and also acts as a stop for the card storage slot. This really only needs to be held in place during assembly. It will be retained by the printer`s body. A small amount of double sided tape to hold in place during assembly may make life a little easier.

3.Adapter used with this thing, select the shorter130 mm version :

Printing:

1.No supports required, print in the orientation uploaded.

2.Printed with PLA @ 0.2 layer height, 25% infill. I printed @ 30mms to provide a good finish.

3.Printed on my Ender 3 V2 with:
Amazon Basics Silver PLA
Eryone Orange PLA
Prima Value Dark Grey PLA
Amazon Basics Blue PLA
Amazon Basics Black PLA

4.The dual colour separation height for the main body is 53.6 mm.
