Summary

So after i got my trimatic steppers i could not enjoy the silence because of the noice of the default fan of the Mean Well LRS-350-24 PSU fan.
When a print was running the PSU fan would spin 100% of the time making a lot of noise (well it was a hot weekend, normally the fan is not on 100% of the time but its loud).

So i was searching to buy a new fan to mount inside the psu but i had a 120mm pc fan laying around and found a mount for the original Ender3 PSU (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3359622).
However the Ender3 Pro comes with the Mean Well PSU which has different dimensions and i could not find a mount for it so i designed this one.

Performance is amazing for me, the fan only runs for 45 seconds every 150 seconds (so 25% of the time) and i do not hear this fan at all even tough its old.

I do have some questions, if anybody can test the print could you let me know:

  • regarding safety of using plastic to 'box' the psu, if something goes wrong is it a big fire hazard?
  • I designed it quite thin, its strong enough that the fan does not ramble it but wonder what you guys thiink.
  • any other suggestionsthoughts are welcome
