Let there be light! This part is a clean switch box for Ender 3 lightbars.
I'm using the Ender 3 Light Bar by Kevlarr, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3135488
Kevlarr's design works great! However, I needed the ability to switch the lights on and off while printing. This box replaces the top right end-cap and holds two switches; one for the lightbar the other for an extruder light (coming soon).
The switches I used were red KCD11-101, https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/KCD11-101-kcd11-small-rocker-switch_60556051670.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.52a3660aRBDOk8
See photos of the final product.
My part had little stringing that I cleaned up with an xacto knife, but the part was otherwise ready to go off the bed.
Wire the switch in-line with the positive lead to the power supply. I'm using 12V LEDs so I use a DC-to-DC regulator to lower the 24V from the power supply to 12V. I recommend you add a connector to disconnect the lightbar from the power suppy - I'm using a barrel to make future maintenance easier.
Good luck!
