Summary

Ender 3 Z-axis support and filament roller combo

No support material or disassembly required!

This part was designed to slide perfectly into the top cross member of your Ender 3 or CR10 printer to support the Z-axis screw and provide a nice rolling action to feed your filament without any kinks or harsh angles.

It is suggested to use two 608 bearings (8mm x 22mm x 7mm bearings for skateboard, fidget spinner, etc) to complete the build. One bearing presses into the roller and one in the z-axis support after sliding onto the frame. https://www.amazon.com/Pack-608-2RS-Ball-Bearing-Skateboards/dp/B07C6FL8TW?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_2

The roller guide pin is a twist-lock design and pretty self-explanatory to install. Line it up through the mating slot in the guide and rotate 90deg clockwise to lock (90deg in ccw direction to unlock). In the unlocked position, you can use a miniature flat head screwdriver to pry out the guide pin, if needed.

It is also suggested to loosen and readjust your z-axis motor mount to ensure everything lines up properly with the new support. Re-tighten everything afterwards.

You may also find you need to adjust the z-axis screw to make it a bit taller by loosening the motor coupler screws and pulling the screw up in a twisting motion to make the screw sit a bit higher in the support bearing. Re-tighten afterwards.
