Summary

Upgrade your Ender 2 with this fan duct and get better PLA-prints!
(but don't use PLA to print this upgrade, use PETG or ABS instead)

The Ender 2 3D-Printer performs nicely out of the box already, but it is lacking one thing: A proper part cooling fan. With this upgrade you will be able mount a 5015 radial fan to the hotend, to provide that extra cooling, that will make your pla-prints even better.

To do the Upgrade you will need:

  • 5015 radial fan
  • 4020 silent axial fan (optional)
  • (2x) M4x25 machine screw
  • the screws, that were on the old bracket (don't lose them!)
  • soldering iron
  • some cable
  • a few heatshrinks
  • zipties

Edit:
Compared to Version 2, the new v3 is again slightly improved regarding the airflow. The part cooling shroud has been moved down a little bit, and the gaps are increasing in width incrementaly. Resulting in a more evenly distributed air flow.

As the mounting situation on almost all Creality 3D Printers is the same, this Design can be used on the Ender 3 and CR10. You might need some washers on the Ender 3 to put in between the mounting holes, since the spacing between the red heatbreak and the bracked got increased by about a millimeter, compared to the Ender 2.

I just added a step-file, so you guys are able to remix the the design more easily ;)
