I realize that this latch won't work with all enclosures, but I designed it to meet my needs.. I needed something to close the door on my 3D printer enclosure and it works well.
I came up with a 2 piece snap together design that has enough friction to not close by itself, but pivots with little effort.
It only allows for 90-deg rotation. It can be reversed depending on which direction is needed.
I found that it's best to delete the support under the retainer on the base piece (see pic).... it is not needed, but when it printed the support the first time (using a Makergear M2), it was difficult to remove in that location I use Simplyfy3D and it was easy to remove the suport.
The length of the bracket is not suitable for all applications, so if you need a different length and cannot modify yourself, let me know as it's a very simple process for me using my Rhino 3D.
