This thing is a documentation of my take on the "Steckdosen Würfel" versions published by "mathisox" and "Rolges DIY" on Youtube (see video links below). It is not meant to show you how to build one but instead shall discourage you to die from electrocution! Do not attempt to make this thing unless you are a trained professional. I am not a professional electrician nor have I played one on TV. I am just a curious hobbyist DIY maker.

My ElektroBloq was at first strongly inspired by mathisox' Youtube video but did raise a few red lights regarding safety especially around his wiring approach. I had already decided to make a proper version of mathisox' "Steckdosen-Würfel" when just a few days later Rolges DIY published his Youtube video addressing almost all my concerns with mathisox' design.

ElektroBloq may seem like a beast with over 20 STL files attached to the thing but really all it takes to make the simplest version are a few copies of just five STLs, a few screws and four or five off the shelf power sockets from my favourite online shop.

So do not despair and check the files that belong together.

Minimum requirement:
2x EB Frame
4x (or 5x) one version of the EB Side (either industrial or Schuko)
4x (or 5x) fitting version of the EB Side Cover
2x (or 1x) any version of the EB Shield depending on what kind of ElektroBloq you need

You can mix and match to some extent. In case you want to mount the ElektroBloq to the ceiling you'll also have to print a hand full of the EB BC HalfChain (aka BloqChain) as well as one of the EB BC Eye, the EB BC Ceiling Mount, an EB Washer and of course an EB Shield with a hole for the "Eye".

So far I printed and assembled three different versions of the ElektroBloq with all but the frame parts printed for a fourth one. Two are ceiling mounted and very similar but the ones that are supposed to be carried around focus on different features.

Over the design process my greatest concern was always to not electrocute myself and to keep the ElektroBloq as safe as possible. Needless to say that this is not a tutorial and I am not a professional! This is merely a documentation of what I did and I would strongly advise against using my designs as mains voltage is probably going to kill you in case I made a mistake or you misunderstood the design.
