I struggled getting a decent, clean print with the original model, printing horizontal. Prints constantly failed and if it did succeed it looked like crap on the bottom. Printing vertical was an issue for me as well. So I ended up slicing the model in half to create a flat surface to build from. This allowed for beautiful print lines and no need for support.
After printing, especially if you don't have a glass print bed, take some time to sand the flat sides of the halves. Afterwards they are ready to be glued together with epoxy or super glue.
I spent some time finishing my wand by sanding, priming, and painting it. People love the look, give it a try! I hope this helps those others out there that faced similar issues.
Feel free to leave a tip. They are greatly appreciated and helps produce more wonderful content!
