Summary

A model of my lombar spine extracted from ~100 CT scan slices. Perfect for any home's decor!

You're looking at an otherwise healthy 23-year-old male's spine with a slight disc herniation at L5-S1 and bulging discs/stenosis at L3-L4 and L4-L5. The L5-S1 level is the first disc gap at the bottom of the model. Damage was caused by a car accident.

CT scan DICOM data extracted with Invesalius. Invesalius model cleaned with Meshmixer. Base added using 123D Design.

This is a sloppy model with a lot of unnecessary internal walls. Took around 5 hours to print on a Prusa i3 w/ Lite6 hot end, 50mm/s infill speed, 30mm/s shell speed, 20% infill, 0.8mm shell thickness, 0.4mm nozzle. Supports and brim recommended to help with overhangs and lifting.
