This is a remix of "Egg Painter Mini" by Provlax - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2245428
I liked the idea of driving a small eggbot just per USB - no extra power is necessary;
the smaller steppers and less electronics keep the price low and the machine offers a good quality compared to a Nema17 eggbot;
although the 28BYJ-48 steppers have a good resolution, there is a lot of play in the gearing - I tried to solve the problem with a simple rubber band (MacGyver-style) and it works quite well for the arm - watch the pics!
I haven't found a solution to stabilize the rotation-axis yet - maybe one of you has!?
my design is a little bit rounder, more stable and built with fewer parts than the original;
I used a hot glue gun to make the egg holders a little "rubbery";
Please go to Provlax' page if you want to know more about electronics and software;
Happy Painting!
