Summary

These are some Edge lit signs i have designed along with a neat little 3d printed base to house the electronics. The base is a clam shell design and the legs snap on. You will need a 12v power supply with a 2.1mm barrel jack connector to power this bad boy.

I use cast acrylic, cut on a CNC router for the sign portion. You can etch, engrave or sandblast any clear plastic and it should work, but cast acrylic is very easy to work with.

Inexpensive and you dont have a stupid remote to lose. the cutout in the sign base should expose the buttons on the controller. I use hotglue to secure this inside the base.

https://solarbotics.com/product/swt15/ Here is a 2.1mm barrel jack plug with integrated rocker switch I found. It goes along way for making the base look legit. Should just press right into the base. Solder the controller leads directly to the paralell terminals.

I cut them in half and solder a tiny peice of 22ga solid wire on each end. The 22ga solid wire plugs in nicely to the controller. I use hotglue to secure the wires once the controller is installed.
