Summary

Eclipse - second dawn for the galaxy is one of my favourite games but I couldn't find any of the ship stands online. So I made my own ones :-)

I recomend to print these with a sla printer and with a rather translucent resin. I used the cloud part of the beautiful design from gCreate (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:427789) to create some kind of planetary nebula with tinkercad. Here's the link to tinkercad if you want to alter it: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/d2yWKuybFfQ.

I love using magnets for my game-designs so I found some cylindrical magnets (size: 3mm, https://www.supermagnete.ch/stabmagnete-neodym-rund/stabmagnet-3mm-6mm_S-03-06-N) that fit perfectly into the ships (only for the white ships I had to use some superglue). For the ship stands I glued in some 5mm magnetic cubes (https://www.supermagnete.ch/wuerfelmagnete-neodym/wuerfelmagnet-5mm_W-05-N). It's verry satisfying to just be able to attach your ships with a slight movement to these stands.

The buttom part isn't necessary and just for estetic reasons as the stands were not 100% even and I didn't want to sand them down.

There is also a file that includes the supports i used.

Happy printing :-)
