I added a generator inlet outlet to my breaker panel and needed an interlock device for the upper left breaker position. I could only find interlocks that work for the upper right position, so I designed this.
This prevents the activation of the generator breaker without turning off the main breaker. Turn the main breaker off, and the interlock can slide up allowing the generator breaker to be turned on. Reverse to turn the main breaker back on.
This only works with a Eaton Cutler Hammer 200 Amp panel for a breaker in the upper left possition. It also requires that the space between the main breaker and the upper left breaker be 1.25" inches. It will not work if the space is 1.5".
Use the L bracket as a guide to mark the holes to drill on your panel cover. I used some short 5mm bolts to attach it.
I attached two different L brackets, one that has labels for when the main breaker is on and off, and one that is blank.
I take no responsibility for how this is installed or used. Use at your own risk.
