Easy Parametric electronics box for any novice completely new to Free-CAD or anyone else for that matter.
The .stl files included are for visual reference only. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THEM.
A month ago I had no idea how to use, move or adjust an object let alone produce an object in Free-CAD and decided that there probably was plenty of people out there in the same boat as me. The boxes have good tolerances and are easy to adjust.
I have included a simple to understand step by step info sheet for complete beginners to be able to dial in the box size to your requirements competently using Free-CAD. How to move, rotate and enlarge the 3D print and how to Export the files after adjustment. All of which was quite a chore when I first downloaded Free-CAD.
If you want aparametric electronics box with or without a vented lid here are my two examples.
I followed a YouTube video by Adventures in Creation to achieve a basic parametric box and lid. I adapted the lid to use a lot less material and added vents to one option. All basic parameters can be adjusted, Length, width and height of the box, wall thickness and the screw hole diameter are all adjustable and finally lid vent width can be adjusted. The length of the vents adjust automatically with the length of the box.
